Many of you will have discovered the website Facebook in the last few months. Essentially “Facebook is a social website that connects people with friends and others who work, study and live around them. People use Facebook to keep up with friends, upload photos, share links and videos, and learn more about the people they meet.”
Many have blogged about the pros & cons of Facebook, including Josh Harris and Tim Challies, and they have many good things to say. But during this last week I was deluged by many ‘friend requests’ from old High school friends and it got me thinking how brilliant Facebook is as reminder to pray for those who have wandered in and out of our lives. I often visit Facebook when I have 5-10 minutes to kill. What if I was to pray for each of my friends that appeared on my wall, or had messaged me that day? What if I prayed for each new friend on my Facebook profile?
It got me thinking…rather than asking how many friends I have, the better question would be how many friends have I prayed for today? What about you? How can you use Facebook to more regularly pray for your friends?
